business processes

Business process approaches change overtime. Before the 1990s gradual process improvement approaches were common. Hammer and Champy introduced BPR in the early 1990’s, promoting radical changes instead of gradual. Since 2000 BPM has become more popular through the combination of BPR and different forms of process automation. The tools for analyzing and improving changes have remained essentially the same. Yet, the change management of BPR and BPM is different from the earlier gradual improvement.
